City Of Lenexa

Founded in 1869, Lenexa is a well-planned community located approx. 12 miles So. of Kansas City, Mo. The 34.3-square-mile city has a resident pop. of 47,000, with a similar number of people who work here. Lenexa enjoys a healthy business base & is considered a city of choice for a variety of high tech & bioscience companies, as well as a number of national & international headquarters like: UPS, Quest Diagnostics, Service Magic, Freightquote.com, Kiewit Power & Gear for Sports.


Each June the city hosts "The Great Lenexa Barbecue Battle" which is also the Kansas State Championship. Lenexa was known as the "Spinach Capital of the World" in the 1930's & celebrates that namesake with the Spinach Festival every September.
